Escaya and Project Mercy team up to give back

At The Village of Escaya, we recognize that the best work happens when we come together as a community! That’s why it was an easy decision for us to collaborate with Project Mercy, a non-profit organization who reached out to us in hopes that we could help them achieve their mission of building homes for impoverished families.

On November 9th, Project Mercy and a group from Klemmer & Associates called “Heart of the Samurai” came out to Escaya and constructed wall panels that will be used to build six houses south of the Otay Mesa border!

Since the start of Project Mercy in 1991, communities in the US have helped the organization build over 1,500 houses for families in Mexico. Project Mercy plans to build an additional 100 homes in 2020, and they look to continue providing individuals with a chance at a better future.

We thank this organization for including us in their impactful efforts, because just as the Project Mercy President and CEO Paula Claussen said, “community means everything to us”!
