Getting outside has never sounded better, and soon The Village of Escaya will have just the spot, a brand new 8-acre community park! Developed in partnership with the City of Chula Vista, Escaya Park will welcome friends and neighbors throughout the Otay Ranch area for all kinds of outdoor activities, events, sports, and plenty of fresh air!
It’s the perfect centerpiece for Escaya’s active lifestyle, and like our other amenities, we kept wellness in mind while designing the space. This will be a place where residents can both come together, and get away from it all across acres of green space. A place to wander, workout and wave an occasional, “Hey, how ya doin?”. Because while you may have had to drive to other Chula Vista parks in the past, this community park will be right outside your doorstep, totally walkable, and totally new from the ground up!
For our parents out there looking to find something, anything, for those kids to do, we got you covered. Check out this awesome new play structure for the park that will be sure to have the kiddos smiling, swinging and soaring in the sunshine. Yes, this will be the actual play structure installed into the park! Pretty cool, right!?
For our sports lovers, Escaya Park is going to be your favorite place to be! Participating in a few pick-up games of basketball on our full basketball court, or kicking a ball around on our six practice soccer fields that convert into one full size field, there is going to be a place for everyone. We can’t wait to get our sports fix in!
If just kicking it with a cool drink and some burgers on the grill is more your speed, Escaya Park will be able to host the most for your social gatherings and community events. Multiple event and celebration spaces, including a main covered picnic and BBQ pavilion and secondary picnic area, can be reserved through the City of Chula Vista. Plus, you and the fam will be able to plop the cooler down at a bunch of other picnic areas throughout the park. We also can’t wait for those neighborhood events planned in the outdoor amphitheater! You’ll be able to watch an outdoor movie or attend a concert right in your neighborhood.
Last, but not by any means least, for those just looking for a breath of fresh air and getting in those steps for the day, Escaya Park will feature plenty of wide-open walking trails, paths and lots of shaded areas for just chillin’.
